Why haven't I received my Confirmation Message?

If you opted to receive information by email, you may have been told you'd receive a confirmation message.

You may not have received it for any of a few reasons:

  • Email Authentication: Ensure your sending email is a domain-based address authenticated with DKIM and DMARC. This is crucial, especially when sending to providers like Gmail or Yahoo, who have strict sender requirements.

  • Confirm Opt-In Feature: Verify if the confirm opt-in feature is enabled for your sign-up forms. This requires subscribers to check their inbox and confirm the subscription, which might be causing pending statuses.

  • Check Sender Address and Confirmation Message Settings: Examine your sender's email address and the subject line of the confirmation message, as these might contribute to spam filters.

  • Check Spam and Promotions Folders: Subscribers should be advised to check their spam or promotions folders if confirmation messages are not seen in their main inbox.

  • Disable Confirmation Setting: While not recommended, you have the option to disable the confirmation emails, which might help in scenarios where deliverability is an issue.

  • Manual Troubleshooting: If the issue persists, gather examples of email addresses not receiving the confirmation and consult support for personalized assistance.

  • Delay with Provider: There may be a delay with your email service provider in placing the message in your inbox.

  • Directed to Spam Folder: It may have been routed to your bulk, junk, or SPAM folder.

  • Possible Typo: There may have been a typo in the email address you entered.

In order to begin to receive the information you requested, you'll need to open the message you were sent and click on the link it contains.  If you haven't yet received it, you can:

  • Check your bulk, junk, or SPAM folder to be sure it hasn't been mis-routed there

  • Check with your email service provider and your email application for any filters that may be blocking the message

  • Wait some time for your email service provider to place it in your inbox

  • Try using another email address that may not have the same delivery issues

  • After a reasonable period of time, return to the opt in form you used and enter your email address again to have another copy sent
