Enabling or disabling confirmed opt-in

Confirmed opt-in, also known as double opt in, is beneficial to the health of your list . Consider weighing the pros and cons  before disabling confirmed opt-in.


Step By Step Instructions


  1. Click the "List Options" tab and select " List Settings ."

  2. Next, click the "Confirmation Message" tab from the left-hand side of the page to access your confirmation settings.

  1. Scroll down to the "Confirmation Message Settings" and enable or disable the desired toggle for the confirmation message.

    There are confirmed opt in settings for three different add methods:

    • AWeber Sign Up Forms: Subscribers added through AWeber Landing Pages, Sign Up Forms, or added manually from the subscribers page .

    • Subscriber Imports: Subscribers imported into the AWeber account. Confirmed opt-in is disabled by default for subscribers you import into your list.

    • Subscribers added via API: Subscribers added to the account through integrations .

Note: Disabling confirmation for subscribers added to your list through an integration is available for AWeber Plus users. If you are currently on our Free plan, you'll have to upgrade your account in order to have this form of confirmation disabled.
