How do I get notified when someone subscribes to my list?

You can always see everyone on your list by visiting the "Subscribers" page of your account. Under the "Subscribers" tab, click "Subscribers." We can also send you an email notification whenever you get a new subscriber. In this article, we will review how to set up new subscriber notifications and how to use them to personally welcome new subscribers.

Step By Step Instructions

Under the "List Options" tab, click "List Settings." Scroll to the bottom of this page, and enter the email address that you would like to be sent a notification when a new subscriber joins your list. Click "Add" when you're done.

  1. To save your changes, click "Save List Settings." Now, as soon as new subscribers confirm their subscription to your list, those addresses will be sent a notification.

Here is an example of how a notification email may look in Gmail:

Welcome Every Subscriber Automatically with a Workflow

For the best experience, setting up a Workflow is the recommended approach. A welcome series ensures no new subscriber goes ungreeted, even when you're not at your inbox.

Personally Welcome a New Subscriber

Each notification email is sent with the new subscriber's email address as the reply-to. This means you can reply directly to a notification to send that subscriber a personal, one-on-one welcome message.

To send a personal welcome:

  1. Open the new subscriber notification email in your inbox.

  2. Click "Reply" in your email client.

  3. Write your message and send.

Your reply will be sent from the email address where you received the notification, directly to your new subscriber.

Note: Because the notification email is included in the reply thread, your subscriber will be able to see the original notification content when they receive your message. Keep this in mind when composing your reply.
